Spring @ 8th

Spring @ 8th | NCR Headquarters

The NCR Corporations relocated its global headquarters from Gwinnett County to Midtown Atlanta, Georgia to define a new, transformational environment for NCR's culture and workplace to attract the best and brightest talent, inspire employees, and excite customers. The resulting new headquarters promises a transparent and transformative work environment that fosters an open, engaged and highly collaborative culture to attract and inspire NCR's next generation of innovative thinkers. HGOR designed the 40,000 SF green roof at the new 700,000 SF Class-A office building, perched on the 6th floor parking deck. As a reflection of the company’s commitment to inspiring innovation and promoting creativity, the green roof extends the interior workplace outdoors.

The green roof set between two towers on the sixth floor, and because the sixth floor is the amenity center, the roof functions as an additional communal space. It includes artificial turf, living vegetation, real trees, a reflecting pool and shaded alcoves with tables and chairs. In addition to indoor dining options, a gym, coffee bar and large lecture space, employees can head outdoors for meetings, to work independently or take respite among informal exterior spaces to spark creativity.

The greenspace is organized around a central open gathering space so the amenity provides numerous opportunities for individuals or groups to take advantage of the flexible collaborative environments which reshape the construct of the modern workplace.
