Georgia Perimeter College

HGOR led a master plan charrette for Georgia Perimeter College’s Decatur Campus. A fundamental driver of the plan is research which indicates that increases in the time a student spends on campus each day increases academic performance and reduces the duration to graduation. Placement of a new academic structure created a defined center of campus and quad to support student life and interaction.

To ensure maximum student interaction, food service, student activities and student support services occupy an important corner of the quad. They are deliberately positioned to promote a sense of place, social interaction and a reason to remain on campus longer or between classes.
